Which implant brands do Antalya clinics use?

Twelve of the fifteen clinics in our guide name their implant brands. Straumann is on every one of those lists. Here is the full picture, and why it matters years from now.

Short answer

Of the 15 Antalya clinics we checked, 12 name the implant brands they use. Straumann appears on all 12 lists, Neodent and Nobel Biocare on 8, Medentika on 5, and MegaGen and Osstem on 4 each. Three clinics did not name a brand on their websites. Precious Dental, our top pick, uses MegaGen, Neodent or Straumann and writes the brand in each patient’s plan and implant passport.

When you compare implant quotes from Antalya, the brand name is easy to skim past. It sits in a line on the price list, or it is not mentioned at all. Yet for someone who will live with implants for twenty or thirty years, mostly in the UK and far from the clinic that placed them, the brand is one of the most practical facts in the whole plan.

One of our six checks is whether a clinic names the implant brands it uses on its own website. This article sets out what the 15 clinics publish, as of 22 October 2026.

We did not find a named brand on the websites of Attelia, Antalya Akdeniz Dental Clinic or Yalın Dental Clinic. They may well use well-known brands; they just do not say so where a patient can read it before getting in touch.

What the numbers show

  • Straumann is everywhere. All twelve clinics that name brands include Straumann. It is a Swiss premium brand and one of the most widely used in UK practices.
  • Neodent and Nobel Biocare are next, on eight lists each. Neodent is a Brazilian brand owned by the Straumann Group; Nobel Biocare is a Swiss-Swedish brand and the company behind the All-on-4® concept.
  • Medentika appears on five lists. It is another Straumann Group company, often used for compatible parts.
  • MegaGen and Osstem, from South Korea, are on four each. Both are large manufacturers with wide international use.
  • Most clinics offer a choice. Only two name a single brand. The rest list three to six, which usually means the price changes with the brand.

Why the brand matters after you fly home

An implant is not one part. It is a screw-shaped fixture in the bone, an abutment that connects it to the tooth, a screw that holds them together, and the crown or bridge on top. Each manufacturer makes its own connections and tools. If a screw loosens, a crown chips or a bridge needs to come off for cleaning, the dentist who sees you needs the right parts and screwdrivers for that system.

In the UK, a dentist who knows your implant brand, type and size can order compatible parts. A dentist faced with an unknown implant may have to spend time identifying it, may not be able to source parts, and may even advise against working on it. That is why the brand belongs in your written plan, not just on the clinic’s price list.

The implant passport

Ask the clinic for an implant passport or card after surgery. It should list, for each implant, the brand, the product line, the diameter and length, the position in the mouth, and ideally the batch or lot number. Keep it with your dental records and give a copy to your UK dentist. Precious Dental, for example, gives each implant patient an implant passport with copies of their X-rays and scans.

Brand and price

Clinics usually price implants by brand. Premium brands cost more; mid-range brands less. A clinic offering “implants from £300” may mean one brand, while a different brand at the same clinic costs much more. When you compare quotes, compare the same brand, or at least the same tier, and ask why if two clinics quote very differently for the same product.

A more expensive brand is not automatically the right choice for you, and a mid-range brand is not a corner being cut. What matters is that the brand is established, has a track record, is available in the UK, and is named in writing. Your dentist can explain why they suggest one over another for your case.

When a clinic offers several brands

Most of the clinics in our list offer a choice of three to six brands. That is normal, and it can be useful: it lets a clinic match the implant to your bone and your budget. It also means the brand on your plan is a decision, and you should know who made it and why.

A good conversation about brands sounds something like this. The dentist looks at your scan, explains which implant system they would use for your case and why, and tells you what the alternative would cost. If you ask for a different brand, they tell you honestly whether it suits your case. A less helpful conversation is one where the brand is chosen by a coordinator to fit a price, or is never mentioned at all.

If you are having several implants, ask whether they will all be the same brand. Mixing brands in one mouth is not wrong in itself, but it means your UK dentist may need parts from two systems.

Brands for full-arch treatment

For All-on-4 and All-on-6, the implants hold a whole bridge of teeth. The bridge is screwed to the implants through special abutments, often angled at the back of the jaw. These components are specific to each system, so the brand matters even more than for a single tooth. Ask which abutments will be used, whether the bridge is fixed with screws that a dentist can remove for cleaning or repair, and whether the brand’s parts are stocked by UK suppliers.

Some clinics price full-arch packages differently by brand. Taki Dent, for example, publishes one All-on-6 price with Nobel Biocare and a higher one with Straumann. Others, including Precious Dental, publish one package price and name the brands they use.

What “original parts” means

You may see clinics say they use “original” abutments or parts. This means the connectors come from the same manufacturer as the implant, rather than from a company that makes compatible parts. Compatible parts are widely used and can be perfectly good, but some manufacturers’ warranties only cover their implants when their own parts are used on them. If a long warranty matters to you, ask whether the parts on top of your implants are from the same maker.

Questions to ask about implants

  1. Which brand and which product line?Brands make several lines. Ask for the exact name.
  2. Is the price on my quote for that brand?Make sure the brand on the plan matches the brand on the price.
  3. Will I get an implant passport? With brand, size and position for each implant.
  4. Are parts for this brand available in the UK?Most established brands are, but it is worth asking.
  5. Does the guarantee depend on the brand? Some clinics give longer cover on premium brands. See guarantees compared.

How our top pick handles brands

Precious Dental, which publishes this guide, uses MegaGen, Neodent or Straumann implants. The brand chosen for each patient is written in the treatment plan and in the implant passport given after surgery, so any dentist at home can identify the parts. Its published implant price is £300 per implant, and its All-on-6 package is one price for both jaws. The details are on the Precious Dental evidence page.

Where to go from here

Common questions

Why does the implant brand matter?

Each brand has its own parts and tools. A UK dentist who needs to tighten, repair or replace a crown on your implant has to know the brand and size to get the right parts.

Is Straumann the best implant brand?

Straumann is one of the best-known premium brands and is widely used in the UK. Other established brands also have long track records. The brand is one factor; the planning and the surgeon matter as much.

What is an implant passport?

A card or document that records the brand, type, size and position of each implant placed. Ask for one and keep it with your dental records.

Can a clinic switch brands without telling me?

It should not. Ask for the brand in your written plan and check it on your implant passport after surgery.
