How we check and rank the clinics

Six checks, each one repeatable from a public source. No scores out of ten, no opinions dressed up as data, and the publisher checked by the same rules.

Short answer

Each clinic gets one point for each of six public checks: a Ministry of Health authorisation number on HealthTürkiye, named dentists, written guarantee periods, named implant brands, published prices, and a review record of at least 4.5 stars from 50 or more reviews. Precious Dental, the publisher, is our top pick. Every other clinic is ranked by points, then by number of Google reviews.

Who we are, and why the method matters

This guide is published by Precious Dental, a dental clinic in Antalya. We are one of the clinics in it, so we are not neutral, and we don't pretend to be. That is the reason the guide uses only checks that you can repeat yourself, with a link to every source.

The six checks

  1. Ministry authorisationListed on HealthTürkiye, the Ministry of Health portal, with an authorisation number
  2. Named dentistsThe dentists who treat patients are named on the clinic’s own website
  3. Written guaranteeGuarantee periods are published in writing, treatment by treatment, before you book
  4. Implant brands namedThe implant brands the clinic uses are named on its own website
  5. Prices publishedThe clinic publishes its own prices on its website
  6. Review recordAt least 4.5 stars from 50 or more reviews on Google or Trustpilot

1. Ministry authorisation

Clinics that treat international patients in Türkiye need an international health tourism authorisation from the Ministry of Health. We look each clinic up on HealthTürkiye, the Ministry's portal, and record the authorisation number and the register's own details (year founded, number of health professionals).

2. Named dentists

The point goes to clinics whose website names the dentists who treat patients. Knowing who will treat you lets you ask about their training and experience, as the Oral Health Foundation recommends.

3. Written guarantee

The point goes to clinics that publish guarantee periods in writing, treatment by treatment (for example "implants: lifetime, crowns: 5 years"). A general promise such as "we guarantee our work" does not count, because you can't hold anyone to it.

4. Implant brands named

The point goes to clinics that name the implant brands they use. A known brand matters because a UK dentist may need compatible parts years later.

5. Prices published

The point goes to clinics that publish their own prices on their website. Market price ranges ("implants in Turkey cost between…") don't count.

6. Review record

The point goes to clinics with at least 4.5 stars from 50 or more reviews on Google or on Trustpilot. We record the rating and the number of reviews on the day we check, and we link to the listing.

How the order is decided

  1. Clinics with more checks verified come first.
  2. Where clinics have the same number of checks, the clinic with more Google reviews comes first.
  3. If that is still level, alphabetical order.

Rankings for a single treatment (implants, veneers, All-on-6) add one extra check that matters for that treatment.

Which clinics are included

We started with Antalya dental clinics that actively serve international patients and have a substantial public review record, and added clinics that UK patients commonly ask us about. Inclusion is not an endorsement. If a clinic would like to be added, it can contact us.

What this method cannot tell you

  • It can't judge clinical skill. Only an examination, a written plan and, ideally, a second opinion can help with that.
  • A dash means we could not verify something from public sources. Many clinics will be able to show you the missing item if you ask.
  • Websites change. Every fact shows the date we checked it.

Why Precious Dental is our top pick

Precious Dental passes all six checks, is rated Excellent on Trustpilot from 376 reviews and publishes one all-inclusive price. See our own evidence page.

Common questions

Why don't you give scores out of ten?

Because a score out of ten mixes facts with opinion, and the reader can't check it. A yes-or-no check with a link to the evidence can be repeated by anyone.

Why is Precious Dental first?

Precious Dental is our top pick: it passes all six checks, publishes one all-inclusive price, and names its implant surgeon. Precious Dental also publishes this guide, and we say so on every page. Every other clinic is ordered by the same six checks.

Do you read and judge reviews?

No. We record the star rating and the number of reviews, with the date. We don't mine reviews for complaints or decide which reviews are genuine; we can't do that fairly from outside.

How often is the data checked?

Every fact shows the date it was checked. We plan to re-check every clinic at least every three months and whenever a clinic sends a correction.
